For the past 20 years, I have been happily working as a freelance lawyer in the Dutch film industry, helping producers to raise finance for their films. My husband is a chemist and has his own company. We are both fortunate that we can afford to work parttime, leaving time for our 4 children from our previous marriages, in the age of 10, 12, 13 and 14. We love traveling, cooking, the beach and each other. We live mainly in our houseboat not far from the centre, fully renovated in 2017. We also spend weekends in our small house right on the beach of IJmuiden, half an hour from Amsterdam. Every now and then we put the guesthouse up for rent.
Rules
Not safe (enough) for babies (0 - 2 y/old) - You may take your baby along, but we think that a houseboat is not a safe place for toddlers; there is danger to fall in the water
No smoking - if you have to : please do it outside...
No pets please
No parties - we have/are neighbors

We live on the water, you will hear the elements. When it is very windy you feel and hear the wind and the boats around us. And you hear trains on tracks nearby.
